        Introduced  by Sen. SQUADRON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Codes  --  recommitted  to
          the  Committee  on  Codes  in accordance with Senate Rule 6, sec. 8 --
          committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as  amended  and

          recommitted to said committee
 
        AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to the storage of firearms by
          collateral loan brokers
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 400.00 of the penal law is amended by adding a  new
     2  subdivision 16-c to read as follows:
     3    16-c.  Collateral loan brokers. All laws and regulations of this arti-
     4  cle covering the operation of gunsmiths and dealers  in  firearms  shall
     5  hereinafter  apply  to all persons, corporations, partnerships, or firms
     6  that pawn, pledge, purchase, or sell firearms, and carry on the business
     7  of collateral loan brokers.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
