AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to public librarian
certificate fee
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 279 of the education law, as amended by chapter 458
2 of the laws of 1959, is amended to read as follows:
3 § 279. Fees. 1. A fee of [five] fifty dollars shall be paid for each
4 public librarian's certificate [or school librarian's certificate]
5 issued under this part [two of this article] as defined in regulations
6 promulgated by the commissioner.
7 2. A fee of seventy-five dollars shall be paid for each public librar-
8 ian's conditional or temporary certificate issued under this part as
9 defined in regulations promulgated by the commissioner.
10 § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
11 ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
