        Introduced  by  Sen.  AVELLA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the metropol-
          itan transportation authority providing  signs  that  would  give  the
          public immediate instruction on how to react to a fall onto the trans-
          it facility tracks
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 1277-b to read as follows:
     3    §  1277-b.  Emergency  transit  facility signs. 1. The authority shall
     4  create and post signage in a clear and conspicuous manner, in  at  least
     5  sixteen point font that will instruct the public on how to react when an
     6  individual falls onto the transit facility tracks.
     7    2. Such signage shall be posted on every transit facility station.
     8    §  2. This act shall take effect one year after it shall have become a
     9  law.
