AN ACT creating the "Empire region cricket board" that will promote and
grow the game of cricket in the tri-state area
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Empire region cricket board. The empire region cricket
2 board is hereby established to promote and grow the game of cricket in
3 the tri-state area.
4 § 2. Composition. The board shall consist of thirteen members. The
5 board members will have experience and expertise in the game of cricket.
6 The board shall consist of: one member appointed by the governor; one
7 member appointed by the temporary president of the senate; one member
8 appointed by the minority leader of the senate; one member appointed by
9 the speaker of the assembly; one member to be appointed by the minority
10 leader of the assembly; four members to be appointed by the governor of
11 New Jersey; and four members to be appointed by the governor of Connec-
12 ticut.
13 § 3. This act shall take effect upon the enactment into law by the
14 state of New Jersey and the state of Connecticut of legislation having
15 an identical effect; but if the state of New Jersey and the state of
16 Connecticut shall have already enacted such legislation, then this act
17 shall take effect immediately and provided that the state of New Jersey
18 and the state of Connecticut shall notify the legislative bill drafting
19 commission upon the occurrence of the enactment of the provisions
20 provided for in this act in order that the commission may maintain an
21 accurate and timely effective database of the official text of the laws
22 of the state of New York in furtherance of effectuating the provisions
23 of section 44 of the legislative law and section 70-b of the public
24 officers law.
