        Introduced by Sen. GOUNARDES -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Higher Education
 
        AN  ACT to amend the education law, in relation to increasing the cap on
          earnings for eligible individuals with no dependents receiving tuition
          assistance program awards

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Item 2 of clause (A) of subparagraph (iii) of paragraph a
     2  of subdivision 3 of section 667 of the  education  law,  as  amended  by
     3  section  3  of  part  H of chapter 58 of the laws of 2011, is amended to
     4  read as follows:
 
     5  (2) Three thousand dollars or       Thirty-one per centum of
     6      more, but not more than [ten]   amount in excess of three
     7      thirty thousand dollars         thousand dollars
 
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
