Go to top STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 2791 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 17, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. AKSHAR -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Elections AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to adding an optional section to voter registration forms to allow for email addresses The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph (k) of subdivision 5 of section 5-210 of the 2 election law is amended by adding a new subparagraph (xiii) to read as 3 follows: 4 (xiii) The email address of the applicant (optional). 5 § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed- 6 ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
