        AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation  to  the
          periodic preparation of a state deer management plan by the department
          of environmental conservation
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 11-0305 of the environmental  conservation  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new subdivision 19 to read as follows:
     3    19.  To prepare or cause to be prepared from time to time a state deer
     4  management plan for  the  white-tailed  deer  (Odocoileus  virginianus).
     5  Said  plan  shall establish goals for deer management and shall evaluate
     6  methods  for  population  control,  including  hunting  regulations  and
     7  fertility control.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
