RITCHIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to volunteer wilderness/inland search and rescue teams The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 209-bb of the general municipal law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 3 to read as follows: 3 3. Whenever a law enforcement agency or other state agency is engaged 4 in a search or rescue operation, any volunteer wilderness/inland search 5 and rescue team involved in such operation shall be subject to the 6 command and control of the law enforcement or other state agency 7 conducting such operation. 8 § 2.
