Go to top STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 4288 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE February 8, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. SEWARD -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend the state law, in relation to designating baseball as the official sport of the state of New York The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The state law is amended by adding a new section 91 to read 2 as follows: 3 § 91. State sport. Baseball shall be the official sport of the state 4 of New York. 5 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD09735-01-7
