        Introduced  by Sen. FLANAGAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Finance
 
        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the display of certain
          flags
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section  1. The article heading of article 19 of the executive law, as
     2  amended by chapter 688 of the laws  of  2006,  is  amended  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4                        DISPLAY AND USE OF THE FLAG OF
     5          THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND OTHER FLAGS IN PARKS AND
     6                             ON PUBLIC BUILDINGS
     7    §  2. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 404 to read
     8  as follows:
     9    § 404. Display of the flag of the National  Law  Enforcement  Officers
    10  Memorial in Washington, D.C.  Every state police facility, including but
    11  not  limited  to  the  headquarters,  substations, and training academy,
    12  shall display the flag of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
    13  in Washington, D.C.  on all days on which the flag of the United  States

    14  of America is displayed.
    15    §  3.  This  act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall
    16  have become a law.
