SAVINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Social Services AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to exemption from participation in work activities for applicants or recipients of public assistance; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 1 of section 332 of the 2 social services law, as amended by section 148 of part B of chapter 436 3 of the laws of 1997, is amended to read as follows: 4 (d) a parent or other relative of a child who is personally providing 5 care for such child under one year of age for a [maximum] period of 6 twelve months[, only three months of which shall be attributable to any7one child, except as otherwise extended up to the twelve month period by8the social services official]; 9 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be 10 deemed repealed July 31, 2015. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted.
