AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the use of biodiesel
fuel in state vehicles
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 201-b
2 to read as follows:
3 § 201-b. Use of biodiesel in state vehicles. 1. Any diesel operated
4 vehicles within the state fleet shall be replaced or retrofitted to
5 operate on a biodiesel blend at the following levels:
6 a. For January first, two thousand twenty through December thirty-
7 first, two thousand twenty, five percent biodiesel blend;
8 b. For January first, two thousand twenty-one through December thir-
9 ty-first, two thousand twenty-one, ten percent biodiesel blend;
10 c. For January first, two thousand twenty-two and thereafter, twenty
11 percent biodiesel blend.
12 2. For purposes of this section, "biodiesel blend" shall mean renewa-
13 ble, biodegradable, mono alkyl ester combustible liquid fuel derived
14 from agricultural plant oils, animal fats or waste oils and greases.
15 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
