        Introduced  by  Sen.  GOLDEN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation
 
        AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to elec-
          tronic equipment disposal in a city having a population of one million
          or more
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  The environmental conservation law is amended by adding a
     2  new section 27-2623 to read as follows:
     3  § 27-2623. Electronic waste collection; removal in a city having a popu-
     4               lation of one million or more.
     5    Notwithstanding any law, ordinance or code to the contrary any  person
     6  in  a  city  having  a  population  of one million or more residing in a
     7  building with less than eleven residences that does not have  a  pick-up
     8  designation  shall  be  able  to contact the department of sanitation of
     9  such city and schedule an appointment for removal of  electronic  equip-
    10  ment for recycling.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
