        Introduced  by  Sen.  OPPENHEIMER -- read twice and ordered printed, and
          when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
        AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation  to  designating
          court  attendants employed by the town or village of Harrison as peace
          officers
 

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Section  2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by
     2  adding a new subdivision 83 to read as follows:
     3    83. Employees of the town or village  of  Harrison  serving  as  court
     4  attendants  in  the courts of the town or village of Harrison; provided,
     5  however, that nothing in this subdivision shall be deemed  to  authorize
     6  such  employees to carry, possess, repair or dispose of a firearm unless
     7  the appropriate license therefore has been issued  pursuant  to  section
     8  400.00 of the penal law.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect January 2, 2012.
