        Introduced  by Sens. CROCI, BOYLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and
          when printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation  to  salaries  for  voca-
          tional education and extension work
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 1104  of  the  education  law,  as
     2  amended  by  chapter  53  of  the  laws  of  1990, is amended to read as
     3  follows:
     4    1. The commissioner [of education]  in  the  annual  apportionment  of
     5  public  moneys  shall  apportion  therefrom  to  each county maintaining
     6  approved vocational education and extension work, a quota  amounting  to
     7  [one-half    of]  the salary paid each teacher, director, assistant, and
     8  supervisor, but not to exceed [ten thousand five hundred] thirteen thou-
     9  sand eight hundred dollars on account of the employment of such teacher,
    10  director,  assistant or supervisor.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
