AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to background checks of
physicians
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 6524 of the education law is amended by adding a
2 new subdivision 12 to read as follows:
3 (12) Criminal background checks: submit to and pass a full background
4 check to determine such physician's board certifications, education, and
5 any actions against such physician including, but not limited to,
6 actions for professional misconduct.
7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
