        Introduced  by  Sen.  MARCELLINO  -- read twice and ordered printed, and
          when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
        AN ACT to require that retiring court  officers  receive  identification
          cards stamped "RETIRED" and "good guy letters" no later than the final
          day of service

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the  contra-
     2  ry,  any  New  York  state  court officer who, upon retirement, would be
     3  entitled to receive an  identification  card  stamped  "Retired"  and  a
     4  Pistol  License Inquiry Response form (PD 643-155) a/k/a Good Guy letter
     5  or equivalent document from his or her agency, shall  be  provided  with
     6  such documents not later than the final day of his or her service.
     7    §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall
     8  have become a law.
