        Introduced  by  Sen. MATTERA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Budget and Revenue
 
        AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to exempting certain electrical
          supplies from sales and use taxes; and providing  for  the  repeal  of
          such provisions upon expiration thereof

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1115 of the tax law  is  amended
     2  by adding a new paragraph 15-a to read as follows:
     3    (15-a) Copper wire, romex wire, galvanized rigid conduit, intermediate
     4  metal  conduit,  electrical metal tubing, polyvinyl chloride conduit and
     5  metal and plastic electrical boxes.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall  expire  and  be
     7  deemed repealed one year after the effective date of this act.
