        Introduced  by  Sen.  LITTLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed  to  the  Committee  on  Local  Government  --
          reported  favorably  from  said  committee,  ordered  to first report,
          amended on first report,  ordered  to  a  second  report  and  ordered
          reprinted, retaining its place in the order of second report
 

        AN  ACT  to  dissolve  the  Bancroft  public library and to transfer its
          assets to a newly established Bancroft public library
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. The Bancroft public library and its incorporated trustees,
     2  established by a special act of the legislature pursuant to chapter  206
     3  of  the laws of 1851, as amended by chapter 329 of the laws of 1889, and
     4  as further amended, is hereby dissolved, and all  assets,  holdings  and
     5  belongings  owned  in  whole  or  in part by the Bancroft public library
     6  shall be transferred to a newly-created Bancroft public  library,  which
     7  was  granted  a five-year provisional charter by the board of regents on
     8  December 13, 2011.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
