        Introduced  by  Sen.  BAILEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Housing, Construction  and
          Community Development
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  administrative code of the city of New York, in
          relation to prohibiting wind turbines from being located  within  1500
          feet of residential areas and/or commercial shopping districts

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subchapter 7 of chapter 1 of title 27 of the administrative
     2  code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new  article  23  to
     3  read as follows:
     4                                  ARTICLE 23
     5                                WIND TURBINES
 
     6    Section 27-521.17 Wind turbines.
     7    § 27-521.17   Wind  turbines.  No  wind  turbines  shall  be  located,
     8  constructed, or operated within one thousand  five  hundred  feet  of  a
     9  residential area and/or a commercial shopping district.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
