        Introduced  by Sen. KAMINSKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Higher Education
 
        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to including  scores  for
          international  baccalaureate  examinations  as  eligible  criteria for
          receiving a New York state achievement and investment in merit  schol-
          arship

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph b of subdivision 2 of section 669-g of the educa-
     2  tion law, as added by section 1 of part Z of chapter 56 of the  laws  of
     3  2015, is amended to read as follows:
     4    b.  graduated  with  a  "with  honors" distinction on a New York state
     5  regents diploma [or], received a score of 3 or higher  on  two  or  more
     6  advanced  placement examinations, received a score of 3 or higher on one
     7  or  more  international  baccalaureate  higher  level  examinations,  or
     8  received  a  score of 4 of higher on one or more international baccalau-
     9  reate standard level examinations; or
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
