AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to information
provided to unlicensed or unregistered child day care providers by the
office of children and family services
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 390 of the social services law is amended by adding
2 two new subdivisions 5-a and 11-a to read as follows:
3 5-a. The office of children and family services shall provide all
4 applications and forms necessary to become a licensed or registered
5 child day care provider in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Polish,
6 Haitian-Creole, Korean and any other language required by the depart-
7 ment.
8 11-a. The office of children and family services shall make available
9 to the public on their website a notice to unlicensed or unregistered
10 homes and facilities providing child day care services of the legal
11 consequences for non-compliance with this section. This notice shall be
12 provided in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Polish, Haitian-Creole,
13 Korean and any other language required by the department.
14 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
