        Introduced  by  Sen.  OPPENHEIMER -- read twice and ordered printed, and
          when printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
        AN ACT to amend chapter 386 of the laws of 1996 amending  the  education
          law  relating  to providing for a waiver allowing state aid in certain
          circumstances, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
 

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Section 2 of chapter 386 of the laws of 1996, amending the
     2  education law relating to providing for a waiver allowing state  aid  in
     3  certain circumstances, as amended by chapter 661 of the laws of 2005, is
     4  amended to read as follows:
     5    §  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect  immediately,  provided that the
     6  provisions of this act shall be deemed to have been in  full  force  and
     7  effect on and after January 1, 1996, and provided, further that this act
     8  shall be deemed repealed on and after January 1, [2011] 2016.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
