AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to prohibiting
the metropolitan transportation authority from disallowing the adver-
tisement of alcohol products
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision 14 of section 1265 of the public authorities
2 law, as renumbered by chapter 634 of the laws of 1965, is renumbered
3 subdivision 15 and a new subdivision 14 is added to read as follows:
4 14. The authority shall not disallow advertisements that promote any
5 alcoholic beverage, as defined in subdivision one of section three of
6 the alcoholic beverage control law, on any property owned or operated by
7 the authority. Any such disallowance of alcoholic beverage advertisement
8 shall be voided.
9 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
