        Introduced  by  Sen. BONACIC -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
        AN ACT authorizing and directing the commissioner of education to disre-
          gard any reduction in aid to Fallsburg central school district due  to
          attendance
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding the fact  that  the  pupils  attending  the
     2  Fallsburg  central  school  district  were  only  in  attendance for one
     3  hundred seventy-nine days in the 2016--2017 school year, the commission-
     4  er of education is authorized and directed to disregard the reduction of
     5  state aid required pursuant to section 3604 of  the  education  law  and
     6  shall  pay  such  school  district its apportionment as if the Fallsburg
     7  central school district had been in session for the required one hundred
     8  eighty days.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
