        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to extending the
          expiration of Long Island Rail Road tickets purchased before or during
          the COVID-19 state of emergency

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 1266-l to read as follows:
     3    §  1266-l. Long Island Rail Road ticket extension; COVID-19.  Notwith-
     4  standing any other provision of law, any one-way or  round  trip  ticket
     5  purchased  for  use  on  the  Long Island Rail Road before or during the
     6  COVID-19 state disaster emergency declared by executive order number two
     7  hundred two and any further amendments or modifications thereto, and  as
     8  may  be  further extended pursuant to section twenty-eight of the execu-
     9  tive law, shall be valid for one year from the date of purchase.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
