AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the accreditation of
persons appointed as Indian police officers
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subdivision 9 of section 846-h of the
2 executive law, as amended by chapter 625 of the laws of 2005, is amended
3 to read as follows:
4 (a) The term "law enforcement agency" shall mean any agency or depart-
5 ment of any municipality, any police district, or any agency, depart-
6 ment, commission, authority or public benefit corporation of the state
7 of New York employing a police officer or police officers as that term
8 is defined in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (j), (k), (l),
9 (o), (p), [and] (s), and (u) of subdivision thirty-four of section 1.20
10 of the criminal procedure law.
11 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
