          -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to
          the Committee on Investigations and Government Operations
 
        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to  expanding  the  defi-
          nition of "educational institution"
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 39 of section 292 of the exec-
     2  utive law, as amended by chapter 654 of the laws of 2021, is amended  to
     3  read as follows:
     4    (b) any for-profit entity that operates a pre-kindergarten, kindergar-
     5  ten,  primary  school,  secondary  school, college, university, licensed
     6  private career school or certified English as a second  language  school
     7  which  holds  itself  out to the public to be non-sectarian and which is
     8  not exempt from taxation pursuant to the provisions of article  four  of
     9  the real property tax law; or
    10    §  2.  This  act  shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall
    11  have become a law.
