AN ACT relating to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming
transportation contracts for the West Hempstead Union Free school
district
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken
2 or caused to be had and taken by the West Hempstead Union Free School
3 District and by all officers, employees or agents of such school
4 district relating to or in connection with transportation contracts

6 C415913, E275266, C515015, C415914, E276668, E260973, E272280, E275265,
7 C515016, E272278, E272277, E275268, E276670, E273089, E276669, C515017,
8 E276667, E611132, E267596, E270763, E272275, E275271, E272283, E272285,
9 E276674, C415912 and E275267 of the 2017-2018 school year, and all acts
10 incidental hereto are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and
11 confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply with the contract
12 award, approval and filing provisions of the education law, the general
13 municipal law or any other law or any other statutory authority, rule or
14 regulation, other than those filing provisions defined in paragraph a of
15 subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education law, in relation to any
16 omission, error, defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceeding
17 had and taken.
18 § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the
19 aforementioned contracts for transportation aid as valid and proper
20 obligations of the West Hempstead Union Free School District.
21 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
