        Introduced  by  Sen.  COMRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules  --  recommitted  to
          the  Committee  on  Energy  and  Telecommunications in accordance with
          Senate Rule 6, sec. 8 -- committee discharged, bill  amended,  ordered
          reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee

        AN  ACT  mandating  that the public service commission examine a process
          for streamlining actions relating to identifying and removing  certain
          utility poles
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The public service commission shall initiate  a  proceeding
     2  to  examine  a  process for streamlining actions relating to identifying
     3  and removing utility poles that do not have any attachments and  are  no
     4  longer  in  use.    Every pole owner shall submit information related to
     5  such poles and other relevant information at the request of  the  public
     6  service commission. On or before September thirtieth, two thousand twen-
     7  ty-three,  the  public  service commission shall issue an order adopting
     8  the new or revised rules associated with the  matters  examined  in  the
     9  proceeding provided for in this act.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
