          printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to extending the
          expiration of Metro-North Commuter Railroad and Long Island Rail  Road
          tickets purchased before or during the COVID-19 state of emergency

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 1266-l to read as follows:
     3    §  1266-l.  Metro-North  Commuter  Railroad  and Long Island Rail Road
     4  ticket extension; COVID-19.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
     5  any one-way or round trip ticket purchased for use  on  the  Metro-North
     6  Commuter  Railroad and/or the Long Island Rail Road, including a "CityT-
     7  icket" and an "Atlantic Ticket", before or  during  the  COVID-19  state
     8  disaster  emergency  declared  by executive order number two hundred two
     9  and any further amendments or  modifications  thereto,  and  as  may  be
    10  further  extended pursuant to section twenty-eight of the executive law,
    11  shall be valid for one year from the date of purchase.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
