AN ACT relating to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming
transportation contracts for the Baldwin Union Free school district
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken
2 or caused to be had and taken by the Baldwin Union Free School District
3 and by all officers, employees or agents of such school district relat-
4 ing to or in connection with transportation contracts E258713, E266995,
5 E266994, E266993, E266991 and E266992 of the 2017-2018 school year, and
6 all acts incidental hereto are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and
7 confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply with the contract
8 award, approval and filing provisions of the education law, the general
9 municipal law or any other law or any other statutory authority, rule or
10 regulation, other than those filing provisions defined in paragraph a of
11 subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education law, in relation to any
12 omission, error, defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceeding
13 had and taken.
14 § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the
15 aforementioned contracts for transportation aid as valid and proper
16 obligations of the Baldwin Union Free School District.
17 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
