Senate Resolution No. 2626

        MOURNING  the  death  of  Pastor  Constance  Marie
        Hulla,  renowned  religious  leader,   distinguished
        citizen, and devoted member of her community
 
  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense  of this Legislative Body to bring full
recognition and just  tribute  to  those  men  and  women  of  religious
commitment  who accept the responsibility of moral leadership and render
the wisdom of human understanding; and
 
  WHEREAS, It is with profound intent that this  Legislative  Body  is
moved to pay homage to a woman of indomitable faith and dedication whose
purposeful life and accomplishments will forever stand as a paradigm and
inspiration for others; and
 
  WHEREAS, Pastor Constance Marie Hulla of Brooklyn, New York, died on
Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 75; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Widely  viewed  as  "the  Mother  of Coney Island," Pastor
Constance Marie Hulla faithfully led her community and stood as a beacon
of light to those seeking strength, comfort, and wisdom; and
 
  WHEREAS, She served as the Pastor of Coney  Island  Gospel  Assembly
and was deeply committed to addressing the challenges faced by community
leaders;  her  family's  roots  in the neighborhood were strong, and she
actively worked to stem violence and promote peace; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Pastor  Constance  Marie  Hulla  faithfully   served   the
community  of  Coney Island, offering services to those in need, without
question, and pursuing a life dedicated to Christ and his mission; and
 
  WHEREAS, This distinguished woman of God always  gave  guidance  and
wisdom to the many entrusted to her care and administered abundantly and
unstintingly to the spiritual and corporal needs of all; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Pastor  Constance  Marie Hulla's infinite selflessness and
benevolence will shine on through her family's vivid and happy memories;
her insight and strength will forever serve as a beacon of  love,  light
and hope to the countless lives she touched; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Armed  with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Pastor Constance Marie Hulla leaves behind  a  legacy  which
will  long  endure  the  passage of time and will remain as a comforting
memory to all who were privileged  to  have  known  and  loved  such  an
amazing  woman;  she will be deeply missed and truly merits the grateful
tribute of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
mourn  the  death  of  Pastor  Constance Marie Hulla, and to express its
deepest condolences to her family; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to the family of Pastor Constance Marie Hulla.
