COMMEMORATING the 75th Anniversary of the Women's
Auxiliary of the Silas Wainwright VFW Post 6338 of
Gouverneur, New York, to be celebrated on March 12,
2022
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend and
support the purposeful cause of the Auxiliaries to Veterans of Foreign
Wars (VFW) of the United States of America, recognizing its long and
sustained commitment to the principles of democracy and freedom so
revered by this State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in this Nation, and the
great State of New York, is reflective of the purposeful lives and good
works of those patriotic and civic-minded community members who dedicate
their lives and careers to the service of others; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Women's Auxiliary of the Silas
Wainwright VFW Post 6338, to be celebrated on March 12, 2022, at its
Annual Anniversary Dinner where there will be a cocktail hour,
presentation of awards, and a night of dancing with music provided by
Pure Country; and
WHEREAS, Linda McEathron, The Junior Vice President of the
Auxiliary, will be recognized as the 2022 Auxiliarian of the Year; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
associations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Women's Auxiliary of the Silas
Wainwright VFW Post; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Women's Auxiliary of the Silas Wainwright VFW Post
6338.
