AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to Rockland
county and the metropolitan transportation authority special assist-
ance fund
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 4 of section 1270-a of the
2 public authorities law, as amended by section 29 of part O of chapter 61
3 of the laws of 2000, is amended to read as follows:
4 (b) Commencing in calendar year nineteen hundred eighty-nine, and in
5 each subsequent year thereafter, the authority shall transfer in four
6 equal quarterly amounts from the corporate transportation account to the
7 metropolitan transportation authority Dutchess, Orange and Rockland fund
8 created by section twelve hundred seventy-b of this title the following
9 amounts: to the Dutchess account of such fund the sum of one million
10 five hundred thousand dollars; to the Orange account of such fund the
11 sum of one million five hundred thousand dollars; and to the Rockland
12 account of such fund the sum of [two] ten million dollars.
13 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
