Morinello Attends Albany Press Conference Outlining Conference Budget Priorities

Today, Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello (R,C,I,Ref-Niagara Falls)  joined Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) and members of the Assembly Minority Conference at a press conference announcing their 2019/20 budget priorities. Members called on the governor and state legislators to consider their recommendations to ease the burdens faced by many families in New York.

Today’s press conference outlined a series of critical budgetary measures that would greatly benefit the tax-payers in New York State,” said Morinello. “So far, we’ve wasted too much time debating futile legislation rather than working toward real solutions. In our priorities, we included issues most important to middle-class families such as maintaining AIM funding, helping small businesses and increasing library aid. It’s also critical we increase funding to the Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS), PAVE-NY, the State and Local Bridge Fund, and restore $65 million to our Extreme Winter Recovery fund. This funding will ensure our highways, roads and bridges are maintained and safe for all state residents. I’m confident the priorities laid out today will go a long way in helping state residents. I applaud Leader Kolb and the rest of our Conference for their continued work and dedication to our state and hope the governor considers our proposals.”
