Miller Issues Statement on Enacted 2017-18 State Budget
A Statement from Assemblyman Brian Miller (R,I-New Hartford)
“It has been a grave disservice to the taxpayers of our state that our budget process was negotiated behind closed doors with little transparency, and is over a week late. Social policy items aimed at boosting the political profile of a select few have tainted this legislation and New Yorkers deserve better from their elected representatives.
“Although the budget contained many contentious and dangerous policy items, I am pleased to announce that we have secured a record amount of school aid, billions to replace and rebuild our clean water infrastructure, an increase in college aid and funding to fight our growing heroin epidemic.”
