Miller Calls For More Accountability, Greater Transparency In Gov’t Operations
A statement from Assemblyman Brian Miller (R,I-New Hartford)
April 25, 2017
“Today, the state Senate will vote on legislation (S.3984) to make government operations more transparent and hold state officials accountable for improper and unethical use of your hard-earned money. Hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars have been spent on Gov. Cuomo’s pet projects, such as the Buffalo Billion and START-UP NY, with no oversight regarding how that money is awarded and spent. In fact, these programs are now being investigated by federal prosecutors. It is my hope that both the Senate and Assembly will pass these measures this year to ease the minds of our residents that their hard-earned money will no longer be wasted on projects that are meant to boost the governor’s presidential campaign hopes.”
