While at the lab, Lavine also got to see the now-completed seawall which was reconstructed with a $125,000 grant he secured. The new seawall provides drainage from the lab grounds and protects it from potential storm surges.

Assemblymember Lavine is honored to join her in his hometown of Glen Cove for the announcement of more than a million dollars in funding for the Glen Cove Police Department, part of a massive investment in local law enforcement on Long Island and across New York State. Tiegerman celebrates its 40th anniversary celebration with a flag-raising event at Tiegerman Elementary School in Glen Cove.The anniversary logo was designed by student Brady Vulpi who also had the honor of raising the flag at the ceremony. Brady and his proud parents join Assemblymember Lavine as he presents a citation to CEO & Founder Dr. Ellenmorris Tiegerman in recognition of the occasion. Lavine said how proud he is of the dedicated staff at Tiegerman which does such an incredible job meeting the unique needs of children with severe language and autism spectrum disorders.

Assemblymember Lavine joins in the celebration for this year’s Glen Cove Economic Opportunity Council graduates. Lavine presented the group with citations in recognition of the special occasion. He also thanked Glen Cove EOC Program Director Irma Jeanty (to Lavine’s right) and her amazing staff for all they’ve done to help shape these fine young students and for the community as a whole.
