Assemblymember Lavine Pens Letter to Supreme Court Justice John Roberts

GLEN COVE, NEW YORK – In response to several recent high-profile rulings, New York State Assembly Judiciary Chairman Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove) has written a letter to Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts in which he urges the Court to consider reinstituting the time-honored tradition of announcing decisions from the bench.

In his letter, Lavine writes, “This most significant method of communication will increase and enhance the public trust and appreciation for our Supreme Court.”
