Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein (D-Bayside) is happy to announce the winners of his annual Halloween Essay & Poetry Contest. The grand prize winners are:

• 2nd grade: Koey Ma, St. Mel’s Catholic Academy, Flushing
• 3rd grade: Renee Suh, P.S. 31Q, Bayside
• 4th grade: Jason Piao, P.S. 221Q, Little Neck
• 5th grade: Isabella Reyes, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy, Glen Oaks

“Congratulations to Koey, Renee, Jason and Isabella, this year’s winners who each submitted creative and well-written entries to my office’s Halloween Essay & Poetry Contest,” said Assemblyman Braunstein. “Thank you to the nearly 200 local students who got into the holiday spirit and submitted stories and poems of their own to this year’s contest.”

All winners received an Amazon gift card and all participants received a New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit.
