"Today the State of New York is taking a strong stand that revenge porn will no longer be tolerated in our state. Victims of revenge porn are frequently harassed, stalked…they have a hard time sometimes finding a job, sometimes entering into new relationships, they suffer extreme emotional distress and even sometimes commit suicides," said Assemblyman Edward Braunstein Sponsor of bill A. 5981, which would criminalize the unlawful dissemination or publication of intimate images.
