Ra Reacts to One-House Budget

A Statement from Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square)

“It is extremely disappointing to see the Assembly Majority continue on their path of irresponsible spending, which only further inflates taxes for New Yorkers who are already economically overburdened. Their budget proposal increases taxes by $3.8 billion and pushes spending to unprecedented and unsustainable levels.

“Today we saw another example of the business as usual approach that permeates Albany: more spending and no effort to address crime or make New York more affordable. As we approach the final enacted budget, I hope to see both sides of the aisle come to an agreement that will reject excessive spending and fund programs that prioritize our struggling taxpayers.”
