Assemblyman Ed Ra Celebrates Flag Day with Local Schools, Presents Capitol-Flown Flags

Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) commemorated Flag Day on Friday, June 14, by presenting American flags to the Locust and Hemlock schools in the Garden City School District. Each flag had been flown over the Capitol building in Albany. During his visits, Ra engaged with students, discussed the significance and history of Flag Day and shared some fun facts about the American flag.

“I’m grateful to the Garden City School District for having me today,” Ra said. “Flag Day is an important occasion for us to reflect on the values and history represented by the American flag. It’s an honor to share this day with the students and to provide them with a deeper understanding of our nation’s heritage. These moments are vital in ensuring the legacy and meaning of our flag are carried forward by future generations.”
