Ra Honors Dever Street School For Summer Reading Challenge
Assemblyman Ed Ra (21st Assembly District) today presented an Assembly Poclamation to James A. Dever Elementary School, recognizing those students who distinguished themselves through their outstanding participation in Ra’s first annual Summer Reading Challenge. Ra commended the students for reading and learning during the summer months, and noted their achievements would be recognized both in and out of the classroom.
“Our local schools strive to provide the strong foundation our students need today to help them achieve success tomorrow,” said Ra. “It was my honor to challenge the students of Dever School to become better students and engage them in reading during the summer months. Under the leadership of Valley Stream District 13 Superintendent Dr. Adrienne Robb-Fund and Principal Darren Gruen, these students continue to strive for excellence by building their literacy skills during the summer months.”
