Ra Recognizes Franklin Square Explorers For Outstanding Efforts
Assemblyman presents Certificate of Recognition to Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department Explorers Post 710
Assemblyman Edward Ra (21st Assembly District) recently joined Nassau County Legislator Vincent Muscarella, members of the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department (FSMFD) and Explorers Post 710 for the Explorers installation of officers banquet. During the event, special recognition was paid for outgoing Explorers’ Captain Thomas Mannle for his hard work and dedication during his time as Captain.
“The dedication of the Explorers and the members of FSMFD who work with the young men and women is exceptional,” said Ra. “The Explorer program not only develops young men and women into firefighters, but into individuals destined for leadership. Many of these young men and women will go on to use the attributes they’ve learned, such as courage, strength, and perseverance, in both their personal lives and professionally as fire personnel, or in another career. I sincerely believe the time invested by these young people and their families is invaluable to the future of our community.”
Those wishing to become involved with their local Explorers post should contact their respective fire department. Departments looking for assistance in dealing with a state agency, or any other state issue, should contact Assemblyman Ed Ra’s office at 516-437-5577.
