Assemblymen Ra, Curran Join Forces For Holiday Toy And Food Drive

Assemblyman Ed Ra (19th Assembly District) recently joined forces with fellow Assemblyman Brian Curran, Sensei Joe Silbers and his wife, Cassie, of Silbers Martial Arts and the West Hempstead Kiwanis for a holiday food drive to benefit the INN in Hempstead. Silbers Martial Arts also delivered toys to the children’s wing of Nassau University Medical Center.

“The holidays are a time for compassion toward the less fortunate,” said Ra. “I was pleased to work with Assemblyman Curran, Joe and Cassie Silbers and the West Hempstead Kiwanis on this holiday to support the INN and their exemplary work serving hungry and homeless Long Island residents.

“I would like to thank the Silbers as well as the West Hempstead Kiwanis for their efforts in helping to coordinate these efforts. Most importantly, I would like to thank all those who donated food items or toys for these drives. Their generosity went a long way to improving the holidays for New Yorkers in need.”
