Slater: Hosts Westchester County Senior Health Fair

Slater partners with over 20 local organizations to bring awareness to programs and resources available to seniors.

Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) recently held his Westchester County Senior Health Fair, which was an event dedicated to offering a range of valuable resources and services to our senior community, caregivers, and their families. The event featured a lineup of over 20 exhibitors, including experts in Medicare, telehealth services, and local pharmacies and urgent care facilities. Over 200 residents attended the event.

Continuing to show support and dedication in improving the lives of the senior community, Slater is set to host another senior health fair in Putnam County, on November 2nd. This event, similar to the Westchester County Senior Health Fair, will include over a dozen exhibitors.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of serving our community in the state Assembly is being able to connect residents to valuable and important resources available to them that they may not even be aware about. That’s why holding my Senior Health Fair in Westchester County- bringing together local and state organizations and connecting them to members of our community– is so important. I want to thank the Town of Yorktown and all who participated. I look forward to our next Senior Health Fair in Putnam County,” said Slater.

Assemblyman Matt Slater would also like to give a special thanks to all the organizations who participated: Hudson Valley Hospital, Paramount Somers Rehab & Nursing, Westchester county services, On the mend, Lizzie Care, Always an Angel Home Care, and Taconic Pharmacy.
