Slater, Putnam Cap Conclude Second Annual Diaper Drive

Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) concluded his second annual diaper drive in tandem with the Putnam Community Action Partnership (CAP) to collect essential donations for families struggling under New York’s affordability crisis. This year’s diaper drive was a great success, providing support to more than 80 families.

“I’m proud to once again partner with Putnam CAP to help families facing challenges in providing essential items for their children. Thanks to the generosity of our community, this year’s diaper drive was another success,” said Slater. “Raising a family comes with many challenges, and no parent should have to worry about providing basic necessities. The kindness and support we’ve seen through this effort prove what we already know to be true: our community will do whatever it takes to support one another in times of need.”

Marisa O’Leary, director of the Putnam Community Action Partnership, said, “Every child deserves to start life with a healthy, clean and safe environment, and that begins with something as simple as a clean diaper. The donations we received from the diaper drive organized by Assemblyman Matt Slater and his team will greatly assist us in ensuring that all families have access to this basic need. Together, with the community’s support, we’re making life more manageable for our neighbors.”
