Novakhov Reacts to Report of Death of Hamas’ Gaza Chief Mohammed Sinwar

Statement by Assemblyman Michael Novakhov (R,C-Brooklyn)

I welcome the reports confirming that Mohammed Sinwar, the Hamas leader responsible for orchestrating the October 7 massacre and countless other acts of terror, has been killed.

“This development is a significant moment in the ongoing fight against terrorism and a step toward justice for the families of those murdered, kidnapped and brutalized by Hamas. Sinwar was not just a symbol of Hamas’ brutality — he was its architect. His death sends a clear message: those who target innocent civilians and wage war on democracy and human decency will be held accountable.

“While this is an important milestone, the fight against terrorism is far from over. We continue to stand with the people of Israel and with all victims of Hamas’ terror in the pursuit of peace, security and justice.

“Let this moment remind the world that evil will not go unanswered.”
